Randy, Sometimes data falls into place very well to answer questions. I received the photos you sent and I can tell you that the front bearing retainer is the large diameter, meaning that the trans was from a 409 car using the 553 bellhousing. The VIN font is definitely from a Tarrytown built car. Tarrytown was one of the plants that tended to forget the letter code before the sequence number and also, they had a problem with the digit "1" during the '62 model year and replaced them with a "1" that was a little taller than the rest of the numerals (as yours is). Also, figuring the final production date of your car at the Tarrytown plant, it was assembled 1-2 days before the end of November, which matches the trans assembly date.
I don't know if any of this really helps you in any way, but the research is always interesting for me.
