Sam, I believe it is like you say, they are pretty much the same.
I had one 302 crank before and I´m sure that one was #3815822. That one also had the cutout on the flywheel flange. No need to take a look in Colvins books anymore. If my #3876764 forged crank was made for a 283 there are too many things wrong in them. ![]()
