Guess I missed that part.
I worked at a local airport 30 years ago. The old guys told a story about a DC7 that was heavily loaded with newspapers. When taking off the pilot pulled the landing gear as soon as he felt it left the ground, probably to reduce the drag. Unfortunatelly it hadn't speed enough so it landed on its belly. Nothing fatal that time. Jan
