At this point of the hobby when there are some many real nice over restored examples of most of the cars we love in every color they came in its time IMO to restore, repaint, fix-up the cars in question as they were used in times past. Way harder to do I bet, doing a car like Sam's Deuce than to restore one with some original and repro parts. Old, original, vintage speed parts are tough to find and expensive these days. I am sure when you walk into the York Show it has to be by now more rewarding than walking into an upscale car show with rows of Yenkos, Copo's, Z/28, Chevelles, novas what have you all in original "cookie cutter" trim. Over restored and under nourished. One is just shinier than the other. Hopefully the person that owns the car you have pictures of will send it back to atleast some early stage of its life as a hot rod!
