Cool stuff Anders!.
Am I wrong or is that MK1V block stamping LQ so not just any L36 but actually the original lump from an L68 TriPower '69 'Vette?. It's not stamped LO from an L88 is it!? Again please correct me if I'm wrong but from here it looks like T1031LQ - 19S735015 ?. If so and stampings original it appears to be from a '69 L68/Stick 'Vette built in the last 10% of the '69 model production run?. Can you search for cars by Vin over there?. Vin 194379S735015 - Coupe L68/Stick ?. Vin 194679S735015 - Roadster L68/Stick ?. ~ Pete

It sure looks like a LO stamp.
I enlarged the image (I got a bunch from Anders) and cropped it. ![]() ![]() Jan |

Yes Pete, I read it as LQ. Maybe someone has a pic of another LQ stamp to compare it with ?
In Colvin´s "Corvette by the numbers" it says: 427 cui, 400 hp, 4-speed, L36 Engine, Holley 3x2BBL. Is that wrong ? If you know a cars registrationnumber you can see the VIN, but I think you have to be a cop or insuranceguy to search by VIN.
