We did offer to buy the car back from the guy but he demanded $4000 instead.
We didn't want him to keep the car if he wasn't happy with it. We would have
rather bought the car back and sent it out to be repaired at our expense.
From the time he first contacted us and sent us pix of the car, he already
had the car completely dismantled. He clearly chose to dismantle the car and
repair it himself.
How many classic car dealers would offer to buy a car back when we don't
have to do so.
If I bought a car sight unseen and it showed up, I would thoroughly look it
over before I would start dismantling it.
If I wasn't satisfied with what I had seen, I would request to return it
immediately. I would expect to pay for shipping if I didn't go see the car
or have it inspected.
We strongly encourage customers to come and see the car or have it
inspected.
In this case he chose not to do so and is blaming us for misrepresenting the
car. As he said himself in the video these things would not have been found
in a normal inspection. Which is what we do when we buy them. We are not a
service center, we're a showroom only dealer with a detail dept. Now that
you've heard from both sides, use your best judgment.

Thank You.

He probably demanded $4k to cover his shipping costs ...

the response from the shyster dealer is what one would expect from someone like them ... disgusting

it is obvious from the statements made that they DID misrepresent the car and that the bondo coated frame rails and all the freshly sprayed undercoating on all the problem areas ... way too much to pretend you have no knowledge of

Dealers like them give all the others the bad rap that only some deserve
