also some 8AM/FM 8-Tracks used a radio tape switch when installed @ the dealership ( I think ).

this one is on e-bay right now - not mine :

NOS 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Stereo Switch Unit. Extremely hard to find accessory for AM/FM Multiplex system with 8 track player - Part is in excellent condition, box not so lucky - connectors has original stickers indicating where they plug in - Check part number for your application & feel free to ask questions
