The heater core and two heater hoses were changed and I have them. Also the gas tank and hoses were replaced in 85 guessing by what looks like 1985 date on the tank.

I spoke with Bruce Litzke this morning. Nice guy. Bruce is the PGA golfer that owned the car back in the 80's. Bruce said Jack Nicklaus called him about the car in maybe 1983 because he had sold the car new to someone that had just donated it back to Jacks Foundation and it was going to go to auction. Jack knew Bruce was into cars and thought he might want it so Bruce bought it direct before it went to auction. He actually picked it up at Jack's house and attempted to drive it to Fred Couple's condo where he was going to leave it until he could come back with a trailer. It had 1100 miles on it then. During the drive two of the orig. Firestone tires came apart at the sidewalls where the cord was hitting the inner fenderwells. He then bought 4 new tires. He sold it later to another PGA golfer Gil Morgan. Bruce said he put maybe 100 miles on the car because he didn't want to mess up the low miles. He said All he did was put on 4 tires and he thought one belt. Bruce then bought Gil Morgan's 67 435 hp Vette. Amazing to hear this stuff. The TA will be at MCACN if anybody wants to see .

Sounds like those self-destructing Firestone 500s! I can't wait to see the car.

My offer still stands of fixing that pesky cracked valance...
