yes it WILL hurt the value of your car, ASSUMING your car is stock/original
IF your car is a "street mod" or the like (ie, NOT STOCK) it will not likely affect the value, HOWEVER some one may want to return your car to "stock" and would not appreciate carved up sheet metal
