Jim...I would have been there yesterday...but Christmas light installation (including crawling around on the roof I hate heights) was calling my name.
Thanks for the pics....and I know how it is getting into conversations at Pavillions

I was at the pavilions a bunch of times in 97, when my mom used to live there. A couple of cars that stick out in my mind were a Dark Green 442 that had was a race car the first part of its life then restored, and a Hemi road runner(?) that looked unrestored. Great place. Is the hobby store still in that strip mall?

I stumbled across one of those Turbo Trans Ams in Fort McMurray, Alberta last week with only 3,000 kilometers on it. Looked like it was fresh from the showroom.

</div></div>Hi John, Nice looking car...I had one of those new in '80. It was by far the worst car I have ever owned! That turbo 301 was a gutless POS. IMHO the best place for it is back in the showroom or under the cover away from the unsuspecting public. ZAPPER |

I was working for a GM dealer at the time, and did warranty decal replacement for GM dealers in the greater Vancouver area. I redid quite a few of these, among other GM heavily decalled cars of the time. I think the late 70's, early 80's were the worst build quality for GM, as nothing really fit. This car had the typical build quality of the time, but was still quite a cool car. It was pretty slow though! |
