Nice...You'll get spoiled with the sound over time,and want every vehicle you drive to have it.
I've noticed the same thing on other cars and fixed my tip length by cutting the removable tips down 1-1/2" and setting the table @ a 45 degree angle with a band saw,cleaning up the cut with a beltsander,then having them rechromed again @ my local plater.That also removed the after market bevel cut as well. Using NOS 40 year old tips didn't help,as the problem is the tailpipe to resonator position. Looks great Don. |

Hey Don,
Car looks super sharp back to original. Welcome to the chambered exhaust Club. There is nothing that sounds better. I have the GM units on my LS6 70 Chevelle. Even though they did not come on the 70 Chevelle, i will leave them on there as the sound is very unique and there is nothing that sounds as nasty as chambers at idle or when you gun it. I also have a set of NOS GM Chambered Exhaust as spares sitting at home. Enjoy the sounds and cruising.
