I fully understand that . I deal with numbers matching cars all the time. I was just wondering if the numbers on the back that match the caps are just for that reason so that one would know that the caps belong with that block.. I never knew about that one for a BBC..or is it just for the ZL1
If that is the fact.. They are the original caps ![]() ![]() |

Because of the difference in the alum. block and the steel caps, the parts could not be machined together as the all steel blocks. My inquiry is more to document the sequence of the motors as they were being assembled. They are not in an exact numerical order, but there may be some reason to the order of the motors as they were assembled. Thanks for the pics. |
