			When the Flint engine plant went through the whole series of replacement V8 engine block serial numbers,in this case starting with & including #20000 all the way up to & including #49999,they reused them again only this time by prefixing them with the letter <span style="font-weight: bold">A</span> to designate that. <span style="text-decoration: underline">Breaks down as follows:</span> <span style="font-weight: bold">CE</span>=Chevrolet Engine. <span style="font-weight: bold">A</span>=Revisited/reused LATE production serial number. <span style="font-weight: bold">1</span>=last digit for model year it was issued..1971. <span style="font-weight: bold">31309</span>=service engine blocks actual serial #. |
