Default 1972 GMC Suburban w/ rare options

If you're like me and you like your vehicles rare and complete, then this vehicle is for you...

1972 GMC Suburban 1500 Super Custom

Original options include [as listed on SPID]:

* 402ci/400thm
* HD bucket seats [believed to be utility buckets, and I've never seen another 67-72 'Burb with buckets originally]
* tilt column [original]
* front & rear a/c [works, needs charged]
* 2nd & 3rd seats [original]

[the original Protect-O-Plate, Emissions booklet, and Owners manual are still in their plastic sleeve in the glovebox]

This was my daily driver for a couple of years up until last summer when I picked up a newer Chevy HD...it really runs & drives great, front & rear a/c blew cold while I was driving it but I haven't hardly driven it this year and it needs a charge [still has the huge original Harrison compressor, and the clutch/compressor aren’t locked up]. I bought it out of Texas a few years ago after I sold a '72 Cheyenne Super and was jonesing for another 67-72, and it instantly became my daily driver. My kids love it, as do their friends…there’s just not too many cool vehicles that can haul 9 people! Just a couple pumps of the throttle and it'll fire, but after that you can reach in and bump the key and it will start right up. I bought it because all of the little hard to find stuff was there, and it hadn't been monkey'd with...the only thing I can think of that doesn’t work is the typical washer pump and for some reason the low beams have quit [high beams work fine]. I spent a small fortune to get *6 pairs* of blue shoulder belts right after I got it. The original blue rubber mat is all there, from front to rear, and is in remarkably good shape...just a couple small sketchy places, but rubber mats in this kind of shape are rare.

The 2nd & 3rd row bench seats are original as are the brackets, but they have the wrong seat covers on them currently [drives me crazy to this day, but I wanted to wait to have them recovered until I found the buckets]. The front seat is a truck bench, but the holes & indentions in the original rubber mat are still there, so an original set of buckets would bolt right in [I've been holding out for an original, untouched set of blue utility buckets, but keep coming up short].

Extra options include:

* an original set of Delco Comfort Lift air shocks [original owner installed a set in '74, and the receipt, warranty info, and owner info is still the glovebox, and the original valve stem is still on the bumber]
* Pioneer 8-track player [still works good, I believe I still have the original box even]
* 8-track--->FM converter [works also, some times good, some times not the best, but probably equivalent to 1972!]
* trailer hitch installed by original owner

All of the chrome & trim is super straight. The wheels/tires are obviously not original, but I'm a rally wheel fan. I also have a good battery w/ an R-89 battery topper, so everything under the hood looks as it should.

It does have some typical rust in front of and behind the rear wheels, but the rest of the rockers are solid, and I believe I have most of the sheet metal pieces to fix the rust. A few small bumps here & there, like under the camper mirror, and on one of the rear corners, but I think a dentless guy could work them out. I really don’t wanna sell it, my kids aren’t gonna talk to me if it sells, but the engine for my Camaro went a bit over budget so it is what it is. Any questions, please try emailing me first [[email protected]], or worst case scenario call me [417 270-1213]

Price is $6500

[BTW: I just realized I didn't take any pictures of the headliner or rear a/c unit, but they're both original, and both in excellent condition...both are white]
