Unreal I appreciate your response's. I feel GM did not need to add all of these myself. I would rather have the sending unit go directly into the the 45 degree elbow. As I stated earlier the parts are the same if you have warning lights or gauges. I was wondering if they made the 45 degree (repro) to do away with these but would accept a larger threaded sending units. My 1969 and 1970 assembly manuals both show these, I may take your advice and see what ACE has to offer. Thanks

I have gauges in my 69 L-78 ElCamino, and there are no reducers. The sender screws directly into the 45 elbow. My 68 has reducers, but thats because the factory oil gauge is mechanical. I got those reducers at NAPA. The store by me has a big drawer unit full of fittings.
