Cool news and all but this does this mean the Z-28 will carry the highest HP available in a Camaro...unlike the good ol' days when the SS was the top o' the heap!?

Do you actually think that the top brass know or care anything about cars from the sixties. They are only interested in making cars appealling to today's buyers. We are a minority. Everything backwards as usual.

No the brass doesn't give a s#i+ (which is part of the reason for the failure of the North American automobile manufacturing) but target-buyer groups aside, it'd be interesting to know the average age of those who've actually bucked-up and are new Camaro owners?.
Anyone I know that has one or drivers I've seen on the road are all guys our age...the grey hair or no hair guys!.

The new Camaro has actually grown on me now that I've seen them up close - especially the modified ones like the Nickeys. I could see myself getting into one in the near future.... I still have hair, and its not completely gray - yet!

I think some of the Top Brass at GM know and understand 60's muscle better than you think. Tom Stephens the Vice Chairman of GM and former VP head of the Powertrain division ( engines and transmissions) is quite a car guy. Check out his garage and car collection.

You are correct that GM in very interested in making cars that will sell in todays market, as they should be. That's how they will stay in business. New Z28 Supercharged V8- sounds like they understand pretty well what people want.
