Looking for info on this engine i found . Went to get parts from this 75 year old and came across a big block chevy engine . It was dark and all i could see was valve covers that said PRO/STOCK .The gentleman said they didnt make many of those thats a can am all aluminum engine said its a friends and its for sale didnt get a price he moved out of state . Went back with a light block # 321270 didnt pull valve cover for head #s.Does any one here know anything about these engines

Here's some Alum. Mk1V block casting #'s and info I have saved also posted in previous threads here before..
Please feel free to add the missing & more info also clarify and/or correct any mistakes.. Can-Am blocks 68/69 - Reynolds # 0-294550 = Linerless? # 0-321270 = Linerless? # O-326711 = 4.44" bore with steel liners (427 ci) Can-Am blocks 70/71 - Reynolds?. # O-399204 = 4.5" bore and steel liners (509 ci) # O-495102 = 4.5" bore and no liners ZL-1 Factory blocks - 1969 - Winters # 3946052 (No 'O') 427 ci. ZL-1 Factory blocks - 1997 & up # 3946053 (No 'O') 427 ci. # 3992038 (O?) * may be 4.44" bore w/ Liners - era?. # ? - Yenko - Casting has YENKO # ? - Yenko - Casting has Y E N K O # ? - Yenko - Casting has Yenko Crest Logo # 3946502 is the # quoted on the Guinn's Engineering site but the # is actually 3946052 as shown in their pics.. 4,44" Bore, thats 430 CAN-AM.
4,25" Bore is a 427 0- means that its a prototype. |

Thanks for all the help . Im 51 and never seen Pro/Stock valve covers . I need to get back over and look at engine again and get a hold of owner . There was an extra crank ,6 aluminum sleeves and at least 6 red gm head gaskets . this guy told me the owner had more heads and other stuff ,will get his # and give him a call.
