For what its worth - this appears to have a Heartbeat City receipt included stating it is a COPO BE 12 Bolt rear. I really hope that they did not sell this as a real BE as my 4 year old daughter can tell this is not a real BE rear.

eBay Auction

Eric - how about those internals, are they HD COPO parts? </div></div>

I agree the L to E restamp looks pretty bad, but couldn't a 341 rear this late have a C in front? Late BU and BV rears have been found with the 70 model C in front.

The carrier looks like a newer updated HD unit that has the press forged gears in it, not a COPO unit.

Can't see the numbers on the ring so I can't comment on that.
If it came from Jim, the ring and pinion could be correct.
I know that he had several sets of correct 226/228 gears at one time.

The added &quot;C&quot; I will refrain from approving or disapproving. All that I can say from personal inspection is that I have several &quot;BE&quot; rears in the data base that used the 341 housing and had assembly dates between 0806 and 0925 that did not have the added &quot;C&quot;.

Hope that helps,
Eric
