Very interesting that no notice was posted by the administrators or nobody knew this was going to change? seems like a hacker got into the site and changed everything.

Frank...while I DO appreciate your enthusiasm...and I consider you my friend as well...why wouldn't you have sent a PM instead of saying all of this stuff directed at certain individuals on the open forums?

It really needs to be kept private.

I also consider Dan Vasic a friend...as well as Ken Tibor...as well as Rob, Tom, the SCW gang and a host of others as well. Does that make me a jerk, because they are my friends? Does everyone have to fit into cliques...and only "hang" with those people? I have met SO many cool people BECAUSE we are all cars guys and "hang" on this site...and that's the cool stuff.

To me, the cars are secondary. If to be a member here requires you to have a Supercar, then I guess I am out...as I will never be able to afford one...and I am okay with that.

As far as the site upgrade, The way I look at it, a lot of people don't like the new look (yet...as it's a work in progress) me included (People don't like change...LOL). It will be interesting to see it evolve though...and will be a learning experience all over again, I am sure.

We are all adults here...and this is still the SYC. Let's just wait and see, please?

just got this:

Recipient: <>
Reason: Mailbox quota exceeded

I tried to send a note (privately) pointing out that you were unable to edit your posts ... at all ... not within 5 minutes or 30 minutes ... at all!

the familiar and friendly "feel" the site had is gone as well

I especially liked the link to "active topics" now there are two ... ???

It is apparent there is an upgrade being done so maybe we should help out by posting up the things that need to be fixed or tweaked without going overboard. Upgrades are always painful but will go quicker with constructive comments.

It appears that a lot of old deleted PM's have suddenly reappeared as undeleted so I would bet a lot of PM box's will be listed as full.

As Rob said 2 pages ago, we are in the MIDDLE of a software upgrade...so yeah, stuff isn't gonna look the same as it did for a bit. Be thankful its not just shut down completely while the updates are being made, or you'd have to resort to using the phone to complain about everything among yourselves in the meantime. Rob is working his as$ off getting things back to the way everyone likes it...if you haven't noticed, every time you log in it's a little bit different than the way it was the time before. It'll get there...He knows what needs fixed and if he needs any "help" from anyone, I'm sure he'll ask for it.

As for the "friendly feel" being gone, i won't argue that, but it has nothing to do with the font size or features of the site. I'd highly recommend all of the bashing, personal attacks, digs, and general BS stop now or you'll have to find another site to complain on and/or about. -JB

Edit: I decided to keep the thread open, but please read the above notices and warnings, and realize the site is still in "construction" mode... bear with us, we're all doing the best we can.

If I'm reading it right looks like our PM mailbox can hold 10,000 now - that would be nice
