Can anyone throw out a value for a born-with drivetrain 1969 SC/Rambler? Needs everything.

I've had a few of them, it really depends on how bad your "everything" is. There is not to much replacement sheet metal out there. 3 years ago I sold one with a complete drive train 390 engine was a total new rebuild (not original), also had the AMC crossram with it - But the rest needed restoration - I got 16k then.

Thanks. The car needs the usual rust repair for an Ohio car. Engine is locked up but original. Would a price in the $6-7k range be a good buy?

From my experience, when they need everything, you can figure on at least $20K, lots of beating the bushes for deals, and you doing a lot of the work.

I've been a big fan of these cars for years and chased quite a few. They are very difficult to find parts and when you do;quite pricey. Top level restored cars go for $30-$40K.Unless you enjoy living on Ebay and don't mined spending lots of time chasing parts, my advice is to buy one done or buy this one to part out. The AMC world is quite small and populated by some "interesting" people. --JMO.

They are really neat cars! With the two different paint schemes. My father had a few of them. Talk about radical. Red, white and blue, big snorkle hood scoop. He also had the SC/Hornet, with the 360 it would scream! With only 700+ units made it is even more difficult to find. I plan to aquire one of the Ramblers in the near future. I think that the values on them are alot higher than stated.

I paid 3K for a basket case with NOS fenders, doors, hood, decklid, rear quarters, bumpers etc..6 years ago. What shape is the metal in? Almost everything can be found on donor Ramblers or Rogues. Post some pics as well and than we can assist you in placing a price. Heres a question for board members. Who used the name Supercar first?

This car looks pretty complete to me. Unfortunately it spent most of its life outside so the body has some problems. Front fender lips, bottom of door seams, bottom of rear 1/4s, and front floors are bad. Underbody looks ok. Does have all original paperwork from selling dealer, warranty card, etc. Don't worry, no plans to part it out!
