Yes, you are correct. If memory serves me correctly, I have posted it twice on the Chevelles.com website(and possibly even tried eBay) over the last several years just to put it out there and see what kind of attention the car garnered without really caring if the car sold and definitely not pushing it either. I am not, even now overly motivated(due to the level of quality and originality of this car), however now more motivated than in the past to find a new caretaker for the car. If the "right" person comes along, great. If not, that's ok too, but I am certainly being very much more proactive with the car now, than I have ever been in the past and getting ready to downsize the herd considerably. Some of the others that will be posted for sale(with emphasis on the SOLD part)soon are as follows:

1957 Sedan Delivery Pro Street

1969 Camaro SS
1970 Camaro SS/RS
1972 Camaro Z/28
1972 Camaro Pro Street

1967 Chevelle SS
1971 Chevele Malibu

1970 El Camino SS 396(a different one)
1979 El Camino Pro Street

1970 Monte Carlo
1971 Monte Carlo
1972 Monte Carlo
1988 Monte Carlo SS

1967 Nova SS
1972 Nova SS

1986 GN Driver
1987 GN Drag car
1987 GN Street Car
1987 Turbo T Driver

I’ve owned two Corvettes that have received the Survivor award at Bloomington with complete repaints. One was a ’67 coupe and one was a ’69 coupe. Both received Bloomington Survivor awards due to passing three of the four categories. I don’t know this El Camino or the seller, but a Corvette can Survivor with a repaint and I’m sure the new Survivor award follows the same guidelines. I believe that a car can still be called a Survivor with a repaint.

[/ QUOTE ]Not sure a repaint can be classified as a survivor. 50,000 just seems a little steep IMO for that particular truck. Thats all.

Someone other than the seller used the "S" word, but agree the # is in LS-5 territory. To me a true survivor has most of the paint that was applied during assembly, this is a very nice unmolested example with one repaint and would love to have it in my garage!
