i can't say on the ebay listing that i am selling locally or ebay kills the auction.
it's happened to me before.

Maybe an idea for the future is to contact each bidder thanking them for their bid and also letting them know the items are for sale locally .That way if the bidder wants to pursue the item off ebay they can.
