Re: what 454 is this?
I went over to Team Impala and asked the only member of a 1970 454 Impala on that forum about this motor through an email.
He did respond telling me that it is actually a 1970 Vin# for a 1970 Impala/Caprice or Station Wagon. he also told me that in 1970,the production for the LS5 in an Impala/Caprice or Station Wagon were only 2,459 cars,this is the combined number for 345 HP + 390 HP LS5'S. There was no SS in 1970 for the above models. pretty good to know that the motor is a rare one for an Impala/Caprice or Station Wagon guy. Thanks guys for all your help,i have my question answered.
