That #46987 stamped pump originally was installed on:
1971 Chevelle w/AC & 350cid. w/4bbl. 1971 Monte Carlos w/small block 400cid. 1971 Impala w/AC & 350cid.w/4bbl.& small block 400cid.w/4bbl. Depending on assembly date,I think some 69 Z's came with #40725 stamp also,showing 6470422 on the box. |

My 69 (Z) had a 40726 pump.Still have it,but had to change it out and ended up using a 40987 showing 6470779 which doesn't have the AC on the pump.At some point in time GM stop putting the AC the there fuel pumps.

If I recall correctly, a company named Blackstone was actually making most of the fuel pumps for AC. Blackstone also sold pumps under their own name without the AC logo, but the rest of the pump was absolutely identical.

Thanks for the input everybody, got the right one today and got it installed. Lesson learned for next time. It is a royal PITA replacing a fuel pump in a 69 camaro with smog, I need a long time before going there again.
