Unless it is has alot of pits it may only need to be cleaned up. You can do that. Put it on a car and see if it holds pressure. If it does you are in good shape and just use a brass brush/steel wool and some good cleaner. I have done 3 myself and they are still doing fine. I bet most of the cars you will use them on Dave will be show cars and will never reach temp. anyhow. If that does not suit you, Pacecar Jeff in Florida does a pretty nice job. He probably has them for sale too. Also get ahold of "Mockingbird Sam" the King of Day-2. He was messing with them for awhile himself.
