Check out the 348 Tri-Power! What a shame about the '32 Roadster! Hopefully it got fixed!

I'm guessing that 348 tri-power is in the wrecked 58 Impala. In that engine shot, you can see it has chrome valve covers and a chrome blower motor housing. You can also see the chrome blower motor housing in the front shot of the wrecked 58 with the hood up. Looks like the 58 has some mild custom touches in the interior too.

Generally speaking, Southern California can be labeled "Land of Horrendous Wrecks." Within the last few hours the 5 freeway was shut down both in Burbank and in San Clemente for fatal accident investigations (I got stuck in San Clemente, new SUV was not recognizeable). People just drive very fast around here (I'm not passing judgement, I do it too) but also do so in a seemingly organized manner. My rule of thumb on freeway driving, which I have been doing since 16, "if there is room for a car to squeeze between you and the vehicle in front of you, one will." Makes for dangerous stuff at 85 MPH. People go like crazy through intersections, too.

I've always heard non-California residents remark on how they could never live here because of the earthquakes, fires, and mudslides, when you have a 1000 times greater chance of getting killed in a car.
