Anyone know what this orange wire might be for? I have owned car since 1987, found this tucked back into the harness last winter. I have made no modifications to harness since I owned it. All electrical things seem to be working fine.
Car is 72 Chevelle BB/TH400/AC if that helps. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks Jake |

Isn't that for the firewall mounted fan "blower" motor that snakes under & around the AC suitcase?

I think that's the wire for the A/C that has (supposed to have where it was clipped) the inline fuse?

I know this much, you have a nice clean engine bay there.

I think That the orange wire is not used when you have A/C.
I think it is just cut and taped to the wire loom from the factory. |

If you are referring to the high speed blower motor inline fuse, that is in place and functioning so I think I'm OK there. Thanks

Thanks - just out of curiousity then - what was it used for if NO a/c? I would have thought that the a/c would require more wires, not less.
Assembly manual not much help, just shows orange wire to blower motor. Jake |
