Wow, we made it through several posts, and no one has yet come up with the "Hey, some of those are Ponycars, not Musclcecars" arguement!
Thank you. ![]()

[/ QUOTE ] In my opinion i think muscle cars are 2 door cars with 4 seats,300+ HP and Pony/Intermediate or Full size cars but not 2 seater cars like corvettes/cobra/viper etc... those fall into the sports car or super car categories. i know that the 69' Z28 is under 300 hp but we all know that's not the truth so that car would be a muscle car. i know a lot of you will argue this but it's only my opinion.

But the Cobra and Corvette fall under the Musclecar mantra Small light body Big V8 power so to me its a real toss up.

The Novas never seem to be included in anything.. As I said before they are the "Bastard Step Children" of the Chevy Family.... Most likely because they were originally designed as an economy car and not a sports car...
Probably one of the COOLEST Musclecars though, at least I think so!! Sorry for the little NOVAS!!!! Rich

No, I don't think the '68 Gibb Novas belong on the list because that's a factory race car. Factory race cars like Z-11 Impalas, '62-3 SD421 Catalinas, Thunderbolts, aluminum front end Race Hemis, etc. should be exempt along with Corvettes/Vipers. All 10 cars have to be something relatively available to ANYONE that could've walked into a dealer and drove away in. Don't forget that this list is just TOP 10 and NOT 10 Fastest. That means although the '67-69 Z/28's are far from the fastest with that torque-lacking motor, it's such an iconic Musclecar that it belongs anyway.

Could you possibly think twice about that!!!!!
Many of the 1968 GIBB COPO NOVAS were just driven home and used as daily drivers, and "a little street racing maybe"!!! I think they deserve to be on the list even though some people chose to use them just for racing....Just my opinion, and hope that is O.K. Mark in St. Louis........... n.g.
