If no one minds I would like to post some pictures that I may have posted before somewhere but might be fitting in this thread. I really dig this stuff. My friends all spend thier pay checks on Billet while I am looking for extended cross member bolts or a Accel super coil with the early logo or something.... I got weird friends
![]() Anyway, here are a couple of pics before I crash for the night. Embossed logos in MSD boxes are "Boss".... They oooze of day 2 ![]() Here are the crossmember bolts a friend gave me (he runs a set on his Nova too) Tommy ![]() |

Oh, I want to throw this in too.... They speak for themselves...
I found these in an old speed shop in kentucky. My black 68 Nova had a set of these in it when I bought it. In addition to these it had Eelco Ball Joint extensions. It really stood up Tommy |

I saw in my last Summit Racing catalog that they are making a limited production run of the old embossed style MSD box. I also read that MSD will refurb your old style box with new guts but I have not confirmed that myself.

I saw that too, its an anniversary edition and the logo is centered instead of being on the left side. It also reads "40 years of ignition on the front. Having new guts in an old box would be cool though

![]() Lifetime warranty on these limited edition boxes! My experience with my old 1970's 7A box (not a 7AL) is that it works. All of the old MSD units I've had from the 70's work. There are numerous stories about the 6al boxes failing on people, and I beleive that is why they are using the lifetime warranty spin here. I think the older boxes were built better, at a time when MSD was earning its reputation. As for the magazine blurb about sending out the old boxes...Well I think MSD as a big advertizer would not have been happy if they promoted the product in a way which would put a negative spin on the current offering. |

I bought this a few years ago but have sold it now. I saw them advertised for VW's and American cars somewhere.

Those Moroso Transmission Crossmember bolts are great. I've used them before and it's really a downer that they've been discontinued, but then again it's not too much hassle to make a set up with longer Grade 8 bolts and running a thin jam nut against the shank of the bolt. You could even tack-weld the jam nut in place if you'd like. Those longer bolts make it much easier to finger-start the bolts through those small holes in the framerails. I also like to fabricate a "nut plate" to go on top of the frame rails instead of using two standard small 3/8 nuts with an open end wrench balanced on them sight unseen. Just a simple strip of steel about 2.00 inches long, about .750 wide and about .375 thick with two drilled & tapped holes the correct distance apart. Once BOTH bolts are finger started, you no longer need a wrench on top of the bolts.....only a ratchet on the bottom transforms this into a simple one tool job!

Joe Stef at B&B Performance still builds and sells 'em. I've used them in all of my Camaros and Novas over the years.
