[ QUOTE ]
I have a CE 302 in my 67 Nova SS...what will the pad stamp tell me? CE4N31826...the 8 may be a 3..hard to read. Standard bore/pistons, crank, rods and windage tray. The heads are the 292 racing ones. Motor was in my 34 Ford when I bought it in 85. Owner said he bought new in 73?? Dave 67 Nova Boy [/ QUOTE ] The first number after CE is the date of the application for the block. Is your casting date late 73 or 74? I don't know what the other letter and numbers are for. If I remember correctly they are just internal control numbers.
