Default Re: !969 CE 302

[ QUOTE ]
I have a CE 302 in my 67 Nova SS...what will the pad stamp tell me? CE4N31826...the 8 may be a 3..hard to read.
Standard bore/pistons, crank, rods and windage tray. The heads are the 292 racing ones. Motor was in my 34 Ford when I bought it in 85. Owner said he bought new in 73??

The first number after CE is the date of the application for the block. Is your casting date late 73 or 74? I don't know what the other letter and numbers are for. If I remember correctly they are just internal control numbers.
