Hey,I aint knocking it.Many years back a friend of mine picked up a 69 Chevelle ex-street race car that was in dire need of a freshen up.I was between jobs and looking for something to do and had wanted to go racing that weekend.I told him I would work on the body all day and when he got off work we would tape it up and paint it.The wheel opening around the rear wheels was mush,so on one side I put a few blocks of wood{or womething similar} on top of the tire to hold up a piece of cardboard that served as the form for a solid bondo wheel well lip. After I yanked off the carbpard, cheese grated it out and finish sanded it,it looked good as new.We didnt take these cars seriously back then.

Man,I have such a soft spot for those 71/72 style Road Runner/Super Bee Mopars.I think is because back when I was about 16 there was one for sale a few blocks from my house and I just about failed out of high school because I spent all day daydreaming about it.It was a Road Runner with what I think was a 400 and 4 speed in it.It was for sale for something like $500 and I had the cash but my parents said no way not until I was 17.
