They're out there. Just picked a nice black/tan leather '66 convert that is a nice original car down to the shocks. It's a 300 horse 4 speed and a never hit body. It was in the local Craig’s List for sale. Got it in the high 30's.
Needs some things straightened up, but what a car.

It was purchased by one of the Austin Corvette family.
Needs clutch, interior cleaning, replacement of the original tan top, and minor other work. Blackwall spare still in the beautiful original carrier.
