Jim, excellent info - thank you for posting this.
Ill give them a call to see what they have avail. Im still confused what triggers the use of them , especially if the 69Z's had 4:10 gears and M21 and no adapter used, vs the yenko cars had them and they run the same gears, tires and trans. Maybe it was used if they went to TT wheels vs the standard YH wheels? Not sure if there was any diff - should not be thought???

GM part number 3932220, which is a gear reduction of 1:0.75
Ring a bell for anyone? Seems like positraction had something to do with whether the adapter was used, although that really doesn't make sense. |

In the 69 Camaro AIM they show the reducer being used on positraction cars only.
There were three different numbers shown but I didn't write them down. I believe the different part numbers were dependent on engine. Should have brought the book home with me.

I heard from another member that 2 of his L78 69 camaro's have this reducer - but his 69Z with 4:10's does not.

I also understand that the speedo adapter was used for hipo cars with 4:10 gears but with 14 inch tires (like copo cars and L78 cars. If you had 15 inch tires then you did not have a need for the gear reducer. Makes sense from the point that i have not seen any 69Z with 4:10 have the reducer (which they have 15in YH's).
Not sure the correct application as of yet, but maybe others can chime in. Would the parts book show a specific application?
