Did these oval mast antennas come on 69 Nova's as well? If so, I'm sure that's the one on mine.

If it had an AM radio, then it probably would be correct. Some of the ovals had a line in the tip. I think those may be for a Pontiac. Someone else out there could add to this. My mast has no line in the tip.

We have a NOS GM oval antenna, not sure if it is THE correct one for your application or not:

AM Antennas were oval telescoping masts in 69. As far as I know, the original oval ones had a groove around the middle of the tip that the one posted above doesn't have.

I believe the antenna pictured is for a 68.

Agree with Grady about that picture not being for a 69 Chevelle. The fastening nut at the bottom is not the same.

69 Chevelle/Elco & St. Wagons used the same front telescoping elliptical as the Impala line up...and also AM-FM radio cars used a different one as compared to just the AM radio.
Nova/Camaro shared the same amongst just themselves also. Voelkers son sold a #629 at Peotone last year for $85 in the paper, which seemed fair considering. |

There was 2 different versions of them in 69 for over the counter. I used to have a pile of NOS ones and some had grooves and some didn't. This was in the mid 90s when I learned this.
