We were well plaeased, as out of a dozen or so cars there, we held our own, top 2 or 3. I believe the Roush was the fastest, high 11s, had better tires. Would have been cool to have had warm wether and better tires for the Camaro, and pit the Roush and the Yenko against one another, as they are very similar, build and HP wise.
BTW, thanks to Steve at Nickey for setting this up, and of course for all of the hard work he and his crew put in to build this car. ![]()

That's very cool. 11's are just around the corner.
![]() Keep in mind...the Roush cars have been out for a long time now and have a LOT more seat time! ![]()

Geez, your luck sounds like mine. My parents had asked us to go to Fla with them for a few years and the ONE year we agreed to go we were greeted with glare ice at the Ga/Fla state line. About fifty miles or so into Fla we hit snow flurries. Got to Bonita Beach on December 24th. Got up Christmas morning and walked to the beach to enjoy the balmy 42° weather. Out of respect for those who love the warm weather, I stay out of Florida to this day.
Weather aside sounds like a fun trip. I'll assume we can read about this in an upcoming article? Cool that you got to be a part of this. CONGRATULATIONS!

It's obviously an 11.50-11.60 car from that 117 MPH. It's only a set of rear tires away. It's a shame you didn't go down there with a sticky set of Drag Radials to square off with that Roush 'Stang. I've got a nice set of rear Corvette GS wheels with 315-35 BFG Drag Radials that I would've loaned you for the weekend.

Once they can launch and hook the car up you'll see the MPH go up too. It will be fun to watch the battle between the '69 and the '10 Yenko.
A 30 degree track is like trying to hook up on Ice. Add 565tq on Stock tires and I'm surprised that you got it in the 12s! I was supposed to have some drag radials down there for Tom, but we got held up and could not meet him there. Great Job.....BTW, are you having fun yet? |

...Great Job.....BTW, are you having fun yet? [/ QUOTE ] Just a little. ![]() I think if the car had been a manual would have helped, as I do not think Evan had ever driven a 2010 Camaro, and I was not much help, as I have driven one very little.

Tom, not to many people have driven a six speed paddle shift automatic, with an LS7 427. I think you may have the very first one!
