These are the 15" recaps 28" tall 7" wide. Really wakes up the look on this little small block 70 SS. Earl

How did the balance out? Is that all of the weight at 3-O'clock?

They required quite a bit of weight to balance. That is two big weights together at 3 O'clock. Earl

I'm glad this topic came about. I wanted to put some of those pie cut cheaters on my recent project. May think twice now.

I want that DAY2 look for my 69 Nova. E/T Mags, redlines, cheater slicks and past hues. What more do you need? Other then a high winding small block and headers, I have all I need. I have the heart and sole for a high winder! 302 crank!

I never considered that the "recap" Hursts could blow apart like a trailer tire. I wouldn't want that to happed to fresh 1/4's and paint.

I talked to several people who stated that the Hurst slicks have been made as re-capps for many, many years now and they have never heard of them coming apart...
