Sure it is interesting, but you can buy a done car like that for $75K.

I was talking to a friend about this car today. My opinion is about $35K or so for this car.

From the limited pictures that car APPEARS to be a pretty much untouched original car. Original engine markings, carbs with choke, interior, etc.

Unfortunately, a project like that is probably worth more parted out in these economic times.

It doesn't take long for things to add up. Original Hemi parts such as intake & exhaust manifolds, carbs, choke, fuel lines, heads, rocker train, crank, block, Hemi 4 speed trans, Dana rear end, etc. are REAL expensive. You can not compare them to NEW crate engine prices.

Then you have the body with V.I.N. etc. that has value as well as ram air items, wheels, dash, the list goes on.

Seems to be a pretty rust free car.

Sad to see a situation like this.

A "parts car"!? I really don't think so. It looks to a number-matching Hemi, 4-speed, Dana car that looks very complete to me with all of it's hard-to-find-parts intact along with a relatively solid, rust-free body. I'm sorry but that looks to be a great restoration candidate and it would be a sin to part that car out.

I totally agree, but at anywere near the asking price it likely won't sell. My comments were directed at the poster stating they think it is a $35K car. At that price it will part for more.

This one has been listed for several months and I am told it can be bought for $70K. Service replacement block, but info back to original owner.

For the difference in price why would you spend the money and a year of your life restoring the subject car when you could be driving and having fun?

There is no way you could part that out and get more than $35,000 for it unless you are asking top dollar and sitting on the parts for a few years.

Not sure about this, but I think the seller is known for selling tags on eBay.

I'd freshen the mechanicals within reason (suspension bushings, tune-up, exhaust, tires, fluids, wiring demons, new hurst shifter and centerforce) over a couple of weekends and then drive the living snot out of it, dents and all. Looks like just that kind of car - fun to be had there. Donuts, power-shifting, scaring small animals and children etc. Add some more oil and coolant, then go out and do it again.
