[ QUOTE ]
![]() [/ QUOTE ] If you look in the rotting musclecars thread, there's another picture I posted along with the Mac's sticker above of a rolled orange 69 Camaro. I believe this was a Mac's sold COPO. Unfortunately, the trim tag and dash VIN were removed from the car long ago. |

I wonder what was so special about the two trucks that they deserved to be in that lineup!
The dudes lying in the parking lot...hilarious! Awesome vintage pic of some VERY cool Camaros! ![]()

Thanks for posting the pic for me Xplant! Jeff where did you get the pic of the #22 car? I was told the ZL1 was taken out when it was new and a 396-375 put back in. The original block to this car is in Speedy Bill's engine restoration room at the Speedway motors museum. The block is polished but the VIN by the filter pad is still very readable.

Pics of #22 was taken by my brotherinlaw's brother who owned and drag raced it in the late 70's at tracks in Marion SD and Kearney NE until he sold it in the early 80's. I met the current owner last year as he looked at a camaro I had for sale. Couldnt talk him him into selling his car tho....

Is this dealer related to Mac's Chev-Pontiac in Mapleton, IA?

Yes, Al MacNamara owned Mac's in Crete and his brother Tom owned Mac's in Mapleton. Their parents I believe started the dealership in Mapleton and the sons went from there. They also had a younger brother Jimmy who died recently.

Frank, Which one is my car?
![]() ![]() Born as a Fathom Green C.O.P.O. This is the one that was raced by Charlie Jacobs and Painted apparently on day two by Mr. Starr in Kansas City. Link to the old thread: Mac Chevrolet Super Stock Entrant My original post just after acquiring this nostalgic ride from ole R.D. Hayes. Al Macs Chevrolet Acquisition Frank have you spoken with Charlie or Jim since we last spoke about the authenticity of this X66 COPO? Is that a black COPO or a Dark Green COPO on right in the foreground? This great stuff!!
