Didn't Pace cars have a 0-1 on the tag?? I thought they were a brighter white.

O-1 pace cars have clear coat and were festival cars. C-1 cars are non track festival cars.

The O-1 cars were not clear coated. Chevrolet did not have the facilities to do that.
It's likely to be a pacer with those colors. The VIN and tag will help tell for sure.

Thanks for the feedback - I got a PM re what to look for to assure that it's a "blue nose" Pace Car versus a "black nose" RS/SS. It does have the dash after the 4P - so apparently a Pace Car. Also has a perfect 3/16" hole in the trim tag right by the "P" in the "4P" area - don't know what that's all about. The guy that I bought it from had no idea - he was making it into a resto mod - putting a big block into it. We'll probably continue with his plan.
