Evidently, it's not uncommon. 3 years ago there was a black 69 Chevelle SS396 convertible that was being auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. In both their printed catalog and on their website they had pictures of my car. I know it was my car because my house was in the background of the picture! I went to the auction and hunted up the seller; told him about it and he said those were the pictures that he was sent when he was buying the car the previous year! So evidently, once a picture of your car appears online somewhere, you should not be surprised to see it used anywhere
