Your Canadian buddy JA has those BB's worked out. I would love to see his corvette as lite as the Hemi cars. Maybe not an 8.20's run but I bet somewhere in the 8.50's in SS/AA.

I was at New England Dragway for the IHRA event in Sept, they had great air on Friday qualifying, around 200 feet above sea level, if I remember correctly.
Armstrong was running SS/BA and ran an 8.827, and then an 8.826 in not as good air on Saturday. He was also wrenching on Wendell Howes SS/AA car for the weekend, and it was running the best I've ever seen it. (8.56 in the 2nd rd of qualifying) |

Yep, Fast times! Wendell has to pick it up some because Jim Daniels is terrorizing the field. 8.50's in SS/AH will soon be like last years 8.70's. NOT fast enough. Wait till the new Ford Mustangs want to challenge for the top spots in SS/A, AA and so forth.

It would almost be poetic justice if those new CJets start knocking on the door of those AH cars/times... ![]() |
