[ QUOTE ]
How about that speed demon 83 Trans Am. 175 horses, that a Muscle Machine right there. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] I really wish they'd stop it with the 175 HP 1980's vehicles. I think a stock inline-6 Nova II had more power. |

I actually thought the '83 Trans Am article was better than the black-primered Daytona. I really like the Aero wheels on the T/A and have never seen a set with the trim rings intact like that. Pontiac really put a lot of work into aerodynamics during that time period. In fact, I remember a particular full-page ad where the Trans Am was pictured but in the background was a giant .29 (or something close) touting how slick the car was. Cool stuff.

I actually like seeing cars people put thought and creativity into instead of constantly seeing factory stock cars. Nothing wrong with those ones as I enjoy seeing them too but I'd rather check out Mike's Daytona than a stock restored car anyday. Seeing a bunch of originally restored Camaros (just using Camaros as an example) gets kinda old after a while.

The focus of HMM is muscle cars. More over restored and original muscle cars. Flat black pro touring cars are not why I subscribed.
I agree that Camaros and HEMI anything get way too much print. Show us some hipo Fairlanes, early Cyclones, 67-69 442s, stuff like that. Cars that dont get print and we havent read about 10,000 times. Hemmings has been in print for over 6 years, and Ive yet to see a 67-69 442 featured. Yet I read about 6 banger Maverick Grabbers, 79 Mustang Cobras, Lincoln Mark VIIs, and a friggin Hurst Jeepster. Thats my main beef. |
