Thanks Chevy, the guys here have been incredibly generous. I appreciate your offer as well. Will let you all know how things pan out.

JB, just out of curiosity, which celebrity owned your car at one time?

Mark,

The guy's name was Aaron Seltzer of "Scary Movie" fame. His dad had some guys doing resto work for him in Orange, CA around 1990/91. One of their cars, a beautiful black '70 LS-6 Chevelle was stolen out of their shop and never seen again. It was sitting next to the 72-72 '69 Z when I bought it. Actually liked it better, but it would not fit in my garage.

Wow, nice cars Aaron had! It infuriates me to hear about muscle cars (or any car, really) being stolen.

Regarding the car in question, Dean gave me a call yesterday after being gracious enough to take a look at it and I'm not sure the car is worth the $69K the seller is asking. Seems there are some pretty significant paint issues and a few other things. Will keep you updated. Dean, Russ, & Jeff have been a huge asset.
