Congrats on a cooolllll carrrrrr !!!! i guess the hideaways were not working early on..and that's why GM switched to the vacuum hideaways...and are they the "simulated mags" in that original pic?..dig the red stripes...cool color pic...
So what is the story on the original owner buying the car ..and keeping it so long?? If you don't mind my asking...I just think that is one of the coolest parts of a car like this !! Thanks for sharing.... Max |

Looks like a drum-brake car with N96 covers.

I thought that you had to get front disc brakes with a big block 67 Camaro?

The only 67 Camaro that required front disc brakes was the Z/28. Disc brakes were optional but not required on any other 67 Camaro.

Also, in '67 the disc option required the Rally ("Disc Brake") wheel, like your brother's Camaro. From '68-on it didn't--you could get steelies with hubcaps/wheelcovers on disc cars and the Rally wheel became an option, I think on all cars drum or disc. |

To get a bigblock i believe you had to order the SS package which included discbrakes. No factory bigblocks with drumbrakes.

![]() [/ QUOTE ] Someone commented that the light doors were not working in this photo. I think on mine if I turn the engine off with the lights on the doors stay open. Then, when the key's off and I switch-off the lights, the lights go out but the doors remain open. I'll have to go check that. I think the photo depicts a "normal" condition. |
