Read the rules, cam has to be stock lift, .485 for Z28, no head work, stock intake, rocker arms, valve springs, carb, rods, pistons, crank, etc. That is flat out flying! Car has to weigh 3100-3200 lbs with that little 302?

No stock duration. Valve springs are stock appearing but way stronger, the clutches are about $3,000 along with the headers and the Jerico 4 speeds are around $4,000. Rocker arms, crank, rods, carb etc are not slowing it down. The intake may take a few hp away but not much. I believe??? they all acid port the heads because everybody does so who cares. Also the ignition is much better. Ask Jerry what his compression ratio is. I bet it is not 11 to 1. Yes, all in all a very fast motor and car but not as stock as the average Joe thinks. Stock eliminator has come a long way and so has the research and development. Look how fast the 350/255 horse camaros and novas are. In the 10's with a Q-jet, cast iron intake and a mush lifter cam! Thats moving! Jerry is running down Atco this weekend I think. If the air is good and he can get hooked I am hoping to hear that he ran in the 10.60's or maybe in the high 50's.

How about a 69 chevelle stocker with a 327 250 hp tipping the scales at 3430 and a PG trans. clicking off 10.70s.
Now how about a 70 nova running c/s tipping the scales at 3690 almost 3700 lbs. with a 396 -375 stocker running a 10.46 that's fast.
