Default Re: 1969 camaro possiable copo

It could not be a COPO.

The first COPO Camaro was ZL-1 #1 built December 30, 1968 and delivered to Fred Gibb Chev the next day along with #2. Getting these cars built and delivered ahead of schedule required the intervention of the General Manager of Chevrolet Pete Estes. His name is shown on the Body Broadcast sheets for these cars. They are also the earliest cars known to have been built with the special ducted hood. Dealers did not receieve ordering info until early November.

The first L-72 COPO Camaros were built 01B.

There is no '260' casting 427. The '270' casting was only used for a short time late in '68 in Corvettes and B-body.
