[ QUOTE ]
It seems like everyone you see restored today gets dog dish hubcaps or the SS-type wheels. Does anyone know how many of these Novas got Rally wheels like this? Just kinda curious. [/ QUOTE ] Mark, I don't think you'll find any numbers on this option. Even GM Canada's documentation service doesn't provide production numbers on options. My GM Canada documented 1970 L78 Nova SS had the ZJ7 option which was shown as SPECIAL WHEEL - HUB CAP AND TRIM RING. Also documented RPO PL1 white stripe E70x14 tires. This setup was still on the car when I bought it in 1996. The wheels looked exactly like the blue car in your pics. As far as GM Canada can determine my car, shipped June 27, 1970, was the last big block Nova exported to Canada. Sold new at Belmont Motors in Toronto. Bob

I think it's very believable they made some 1970 L89 Nova's. Look at the 70 L78 TH400 car that Charley has seen the docs on and the other paperwork that Ed found from Scuncio also showing the L78 TH400. It would be great to see the paperwork proving all the rare cars, especially the combos that shouldn't exist, but it's not always possible and the more you aggravate people the chances of ever seeing it fades away. We all know Chevrolet's records weren't the best so I try to keep an open mind.
