Restoration values are very subjective...there have been dozens, if not more "frame-off restoration" L78 Novas for sale on various forums and websites over the last few years. The true difference in these cars is "who did the resto"...it's that simple. The name shops and/or individuals that have a great attention to detail turn out a superior product. You all know who they are...There are lots of cars out there that have been restored by ABC Autobody of Anywhere, USA....it is easy to spot these in the crowd. The most important parts of a quality resto are the things you don't see at the first glance...the devil is in the details. Pay your money and take your choice...

Need so help. Looking thru the Supercars/Musclecars for sale section I ran across a Special Paint/Hugger Orange/Double dash 1969 Nova L78 (absolutely georgeous) for sale. It say's this a very rare/limited option. I also have a documented double dash/hugger orange/special paint L78 Nova, which is unrestored original (original motor, trans, rear end,etc.). I bought this car about a year ago about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh. My question is are these double dash/special paint cars really that rare? If anybody has knowledge on this issue it would really help. Thanks Ed [/ QUOTE ] What dealership sold it originally? My dad used to tell my brother and I a story about going out with a carload of buddies to Don Allen Chevrolet in 68/69 and seeing an entire showroom full of Chevrolets of nearly every model.. a Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, and even an Impala. The odd part of the story is he said ALL of them were painted hugger orange.
