I sold a NOS trunk mat just like yours a couple of years ago for 600 to a member here, which is what I paid for it when I bought it. Don't know if they have gone up or down since.

[/ QUOTE ] I would buy one for 600.00.

I saw trunk mats on ebay go for $1200 to $1500.

That doesn't surprise me now. I am one of those bass-akwards guys that normally buys high and sells low. Although I have gotten some sweet deals on stuff I didn't need and sold it to members here and TC for the same money I paid. I like to think that what goes around comes around.

Don't know about the lid itself, but that 302 decal is as repro as the day is long...the fonts aren't even close.

Should look something like this:

since the stuff is for sale the value isn't really important anyhow.

no no, I've had them for many, many years. The shocks on ebay had a '69 date. I believe my shocks are dated '68 for an earlier '69.

Thanks for clarification on the decal, Joe. I'll have to do more research on the decal as I was fairly certain it too was original.

Air cleaner cover aside, we seem to disagree on many points stemming back to the used USA-1 plate you tried to sell me as an NOS unit. You don't want to know the market value of your memorabilia collection? You keep tabs on the Yenko Deuce market while I'd imagine your car will never be for be for sale. Same principle applies here. Your comment is disrespecting to me. The parts are mine, I can ask whatever question I want. I'm a paying member and I'm using the forum as its designed.

Sorry for the distraction guys. I do value your opinions!

Thanks,
-Dan

Actually, knowing the value of what you have sitting in your house is very important in the event you have a loss.

As an example, we just had a lightning strike knock out our fridge/freezer. The funny thing I learned was that the deductible applied to the fridge repair but the food inside was completely covered with no deductible, as personal property! And no, my vintage caviar collection wasn't in that fridge...but our steaks were, and 3 dozen eggs. (We didn't know the fridge was out for 5 days, so you can imagine the smell!)

At least my son had fun throwing the 3 dozen eggs out in the backyard.
