Yep, a friend of mine has a car that was originally a 300 Deluxe SS 396 (L35)with a 3 speed. Last I heard, he still has the original shifter stored in the attic of his garage.
The car is now sporting full Malibu SS trim with buckets, console, a 427 & a 4 speed.

Please tell me if I have this right:
In the low trim level (300 Deluxe?), there was a post coupe and a hardtop available with the SS package. The SS package was also available on the Malibu hardtop and convertible, so that would make 4 cars the SS package was available on . . . right? (Not counting El Caminos, mind you!) I'd be willing to bet the highest percentage of 3-speed cars were built on the post SS. :-)

We have the 300 deluxe Hardtop version. Would look nice sitting beside Ricks silver post car.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.
